Kofuku Station is located in the city of Obihiro. It’s a popular spot for couples.
The station name “Kofuku” means “Happiness”.

What’s on the walls?

The original station building remains standing. (The station was renovated by Obihiro city government in 2013.) Many people paste business cards and messages on the walls for happiness.

History

The station opened in 1956 and closed in 1987.
The station became famous after Japanese TV program in 1973.
