Tokachi is one of the famous hot spring areas. It boasts many hot springs and an abundance of hot water. There are many hot spring facilities where one can experience free-flowing hot spring water. (The hot water is not circulated or diluted with any other water.) One can enjoy authentic natural hot spring water. Tokachi has various kinds of hot springs. Among these, moor hot springs, a rarity all over the world, contain a lot of organic matter of vegetable origin, and are characterized by a silky-smooth, soap-like feel to the touch. Centered around Tokachigawa Onsen (hot springs), moor hot springs are found all over the Tokachi area. One can even enjoy the moor hot spring water at sento (public baths) in Obihiro city.

The hot spring gushes directly from the ground makes your skin soft and smoooth. The place is 15 minutes walk from the Obihiro station and the bath is good for neuralgia, poor circulation, joint pains.

It is a traditional ryokan (Japanese inn) with a hot spring in the Nukabira hot spring area. It was opened in 1925. The temperature of the hot spring water is 60°C at the source. The hot water is not diluted with other water to lower the temperature. Please enjoy the great natural hot spring water.
