Harunire Tree (Harunire-no-ki)

Let’s go and see the two Japanese elm trees that support each other as they grow.

These Japanese elm trees, which are estimated to be 140 years old, have become a popular symbol of Toyokoro Town. Their branches stretch equally to both sides, merging the two neighboring trees into one tree, creating a magnificent shape. These trees have become a famous photo-taking location with different scenery throughout the four seasons, attracting many tourists and photographers.
