Rekifune River (Rekifune-gawa)

Let’s enjoy canoeing on the clear river and camping nearby.

The Rekifune River, which flows from the Hidaka mountain range as its source to the Pacific Ocean, has frequently been selected as the most beautiful river in Japan. Kamui Kotan Park is situated along the river. The park, which is surrounded by the clear stream, forests and odd-shaped rocks, has a camping site with a maximum capacity of 350 persons. People can enjoy fishing for rainbow trout and yamame (landlocked salmon) or canoeing, as well as taking a walk on the Rekifune-no-Mori/Shinrin Yoku (peaceful walk through the woods) course, or experience digging for gold.
