This garden features a large area with various kinds of flowers and plants growing in specially prepared soil.
Approximately 2,500 or more kinds of blooming flowers are spread over a vast area of 18,000 tsubo (approx. 59,400 m2) across the pastoral Tokachi plain on the outskirts of Obihiro City.The garden is divided into 22 zones with 13 different collections. There are many flowers and plants, including 200 kinds of tulips that bloom in spring, a wild flower garden in summer and colored leaves in fall. In winter, beautiful illumination of the white snows attracts people. One can enjoy the garden throughout all the seasons. Recommended scenery is the far-off landscape that can be viewed from Shichiku Garden, with a particularly commanding view of the Hidaka mountain range, providing spectacular and impressive scenes. When you get tired walking around the garden, you can take a break at a restaurant offering meals like Butadon (pork rice bowl) (1,050 yen) and soup curry (1,260 yen), as well as afternoon tea.
